No Bad Mind

Today’s blog is about peace of mind. As I’ve gotten older, my tolerance for rubbish has decreased! I seek out peace as often as I can. I try not to give energy to anything mentally draining, though as an overthinker that can be hard.
The paintings below are part of my playful series. The set was inspired by the 17th-century Japanese proverb linked to Buddhist teachings that encourage us to avoid wrongdoing.

Protecting My Peace was inspired by See No Evil.

I Choose Peace was inspired by Hear No Evil.

Shush was inspired by Speak No Evil, knowing when to keep some things to yourself.
Here is a poem I wrote about protecting my peace:
Did I see evil?
No, not I,
as I’m partially blind in both eyes.
Did I hear evil?
No, not a sound.
I had my music turned up loud.
Did I speak evil?
No, my voice was hoarse.
Though I am only human, I thought them, of course.
My true feelings I kept to myself.
When that didn’t help,
I journaled for my mental health.
You see, these people just aren’t my tribe.
They make me feel anxious. They’re too bad-mind.
The energy is off, and I’m the sensitive type,
so it’s a no from me, not a maybe or might.
I’ll always choose peace and protect myself.
I need to avoid drama for my mental health.
Please leave a comment and let me know do you enjoy the drama or live for peace? I prefer my drama via Reality TV!

I live for peace, such a beautiful poem 💜🥰
